String Lifter
- Function: Significantly speeds up nut slotting jobs.
- Usage: Slip it under the string in front of the nut to quickly lift the string out of the way. This eliminates the need to loosen the string. During nut slot filing, it allows for frequent checks of the slot depth by easily reseating the string without the hassle of tedious retunings.
- Compatibility: Fits any string up to .062".
- Origin: The idea for this tool came from luthier Rolfe Gerhardt.
